Our Commitment to Quality
At Print Ship USA, quality is not just a goal—it's a promise. We understand that your printed materials represent your brand, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every order goes through a comprehensive quality assurance process from file intake through final shipment.
Quality Assurance Stages
1File Review & Validation
Upon submission, your files are reviewed for compliance with our technical requirements: resolution, color mode, file format, and bleed specifications. Any potential issues are flagged for resolution before production begins.
2Proof Generation & Review
A digital proof is created and sent to you for review. We require your written approval before production begins. This critical step ensures that color, layout, spelling, and content are all correct before we commit to production.
3Pre-Production Setup
Our production team sets up your job according to your approved specifications. This includes color calibration, press setup, cutting specifications, and finishing options. All setup parameters are verified against your order specifications.
4In-Production Monitoring
During printing, color output and registration are continuously monitored against your approved proof. Our operators make micro-adjustments to maintain color consistency and quality throughout the run.
5Post-Production Inspection
After production, finished pieces are inspected for color accuracy, cutting precision, registration, binding quality, and packaging. Random samples are pulled from across the print run to verify consistency.
6Final QA & Packaging
Products are carefully packaged to prevent damage during shipping. All cartons and packaging materials are inspected for integrity. Shipping labels and documentation are verified against your order details.
Quality Standards We Uphold
Color Accuracy
Colors are matched to within ±5% of the approved proof using industry-standard color management systems and regular calibration.
Registration & Alignment
All printing registration is verified to ±1/32" tolerance. Multi-color printing is carefully aligned to prevent color shift.
Cutting & Trimming
Cutting dies are verified for accuracy. Finished sizes are spot-checked to ensure compliance within ±1/16".
Surface Quality
Finished products are inspected for scratches, creases, spots, and other defects that would be visible to your customers.
Binding & Finishing
Folding, scoring, binding, and special finishes are inspected for proper execution and durability.
Packaging Integrity
All orders are packaged securely to arrive in perfect condition, regardless of shipping method or distance.
What If There's an Issue?
While our rigorous quality process catches issues before products ship, we understand that occasionally something might not meet expectations:
- Immediate Contact: Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order if you notice any defects or quality concerns
- Documentation: Provide photos of the issue and details about how it differs from your approved proof
- Evaluation: We will review your concern and determine if it falls outside our quality standards
- Resolution: If we determine the issue is due to our error, we will reprint and reship the order at no charge
- Industry Standards: Concerns about variations within industry-standard tolerance (see our Printing Terms) may be addressed through alternative solutions rather than reprints
Your Role in Quality
Quality is a partnership between Print Ship USA and our customers:
- Submit files that meet our technical specifications (300 DPI, CMYK, proper bleed)
- Review your proof carefully and provide written approval before production
- Clearly communicate any special requirements or concerns upfront
- Inspect your order promptly upon receipt and report any issues immediately
